Beginning Saturday, the California Highway Patrol will step up enforcement efforts on freeways in Los Angeles County which have had the most motorcycle accidents.

The Glendale (2), Harbor (110) and San Diego (405) freeways were identified as having the highest number of collisions involving motorcycles, said Juan Galvan of the CHP.

Officers will focus on violations committed by both vehicle drivers and motorcyclists.

“We want vehicle drivers to share the road with the motorcyclists and we want the motorcycle rider to ride safely. Our primary goal throughout this campaign will be to save lives,” said CHP Southern Division Assistant Chief Bill Dance.
