Police on Thursday sought information about an attack at a Canyon Country skate park on a 30-year-old man whose jaw was broken with a skateboard.
The assault took place about 10:30 p.m. on May 5 in the parking lot of the Santa Clarita Skate Park at 20850 Centre Pointe Parkway, according to the Los Angeles County sheriff’s Santa Clarita Valley Station.
The victim was struck repeatedly on the head and face and required multiple surgeries to repair several jaw fractures, authorities said.
He said he doesn’t know the area well and walked over to a group of people in the parking lot to ask questions, but the conversation “resulted in bad feelings,” according to a sheriff’s department statement.
Several people witnessed the attack and investigators would like them to come forward with information by calling the detective handling the case at (661) 799-5153.
