An 18-year-old man was stabbed at a Monrovia park Monday and suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The victim was with his brother at Rotary Park at California and Lime avenues around 3:30 p.m., said Lt. Michael Lee of the Monrovia Police Department.

They were approached by three suspects, two of which attacked the victim and stabbed him in the back, Lee said.

The suspects fled the scene on foot, he said.

The victim was taken to an area hospital with stable injuries, the lieutenant said

Police haven’t confirmed yet whether both parties knew each other.
