A man was hospitalized with multiple fractures after being rescued from a dry wash in Rosemead early Wednesday, authorities said.
The victim, whose injuries were described as moderate, fell off a bridge and into the wash near the intersection of East Valley Boulevard and North Walnut Grove Avenue around 11:20 p.m. Tuesday, said Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatch Supervisor Kyle Pickett.
The depth of the wash and the height of its sides required an Urban Search and Rescue team to remove the victim, a process that took about an hour, Pickett said.
