Three people will serve lengthy prison terms in the kidnapping-for-ransom of a woman who was found two days later.
Francisco Inacua-Rosas, 35, was sentenced late Thursday to 31 years in state prison, while Uziel Cuevas Figueroa and Rocio Inacua, both 33, got 18- year terms.
All three pleaded no contest to one count of kidnapping.
A fourth defendant, Judith Maldonado, 41, pleaded no contest to one count of being an accessory after the fact and was sentenced to three years behind bars.
Inacua-Rosas kidnapped the 44-year-old woman in Diamond Bar last Aug. 4, said Deputy District Attorney Louis Avila. He then called the woman’s family and demanded a ransom of about $100,000 that was never received.
The woman — whose mouth was covered with duct tape — was discovered two days later in a garage in Rowland Heights. The dazed and traumatized woman tearfully hugged one of the detectives who rescued her.
