A 6-month-old brown bloodhound recently acquired by the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department to be used to hunt for missing persons got a name Friday, courtesy of ABC7 viewers who voted on Facebook.
She will be called Copper — one of five names selected by the sheriff’s department for the public’s consideration; the others were Molly, Mulligan, Champ and Star.
Copper will undergo training before she is deployed in the field.
