Two separate — but apparently related — shootings in Koreatown on Monday left two people dead in what police said they believe were gang-related attacks.

One shooting was in the 700 block of South Vermont Avenue, near Wilshire Boulevard, and the other happened around the block at Leeward and Westmoreland avenues, authorities said.

The shootings were reported about 2:30 p.m.

Both of the victims, described only as Latino men, died in the hospitals they were taken to, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Jane Kim said.

No suspect information was released.
