A man was killed in a drive-by shooting in Compton on Tuesday night.
The victim was shot by an occupant of a dark colored sedan that pulled up next to him about 6:30 p.m. in the 400 block of North Santa Fe Avenue, between Alondra and Compton boulevards, authorities said.
The sedan then headed north on Santa Fe Avenue, where it was lost to sight, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Mike Barraza said.
The victim was declared dead at the scene, Deputy Amber Smith said.
