
Two people were critically injured in a head-on collision involving a wrong-way driver on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu on Wednesday night.
The collision occurred near the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Latigo Canyon Road around 9:40 p.m., according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Lt. John Lecrivain.
The driver of the wrong-way vehicle had to be freed from the vehicle after being trapped for about 50 minutes, Lecrivain said.
The direction of the wrong-way driver was not known, Lecrivain said.
