Two people were wounded by gunfire and a 4-year-old child was injured by glass fragments in a shooting Sunday night in the unincorporated Florence-Firestone area near South Los Angeles, authorities said.

Firefighters were called to the scene in the 1700 block of Firestone Boulevard, near Beach Street, at 8:23 p.m., said Kyle Sanford, supervising dispatcher with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

One of the shooting victims was in full cardiac arrest, Sanford said.

Two suspects were outstanding, Deputy Mike Barraza of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau said.
