An Long Beach police officer was injured in an officer-involved shooting Sunday night, along with a possible suspect.
The shooting happened at around 9:15 p.m. at the intersection of Artesia Boulevard and Orizaba Avenue. It was unclear if the officer was shot by the suspect or injured during the shooting.
The suspect was injured, possibly shot by the officer, a news photographer at the scene said.
The officer was transported to Long Beach Memorial Hospital by other officers arriving at the scene. His condition was unknown that this time.
The suspect was transported by Long Beach Fire Department to a local hospital. His condition was also unknown.
