It was a bad couple of days for fast-food restaurants as two of them were rammed by vehicles.

A vehicle crashed into the front of a Panda Express restaurant in Culver City on Sunday, sending one person to a hospital for precautionary reasons, police said.

The vehicle struck the restaurant at the intersection of Venice Boulevard and Midway Avenue about 4:20 p.m., said Culver City police Sgt. J. Zerbey.

The building sustained no structural damage, but the restaurant closed because of broken glass, Zerbey said.

The driver of the vehicle was not cited or arrested.

On Friday afternoon, a car raked the glass storefront of a Chipotle restaurant at 4550 W. Pico Blvd. in Mid-City Los Angeles, sending eight people to a hospital.

The vehicle did not penetrate the building and caused only cosmetic damage.
