Long Beach police detectives seized hundreds of pounds of illegal drugs during a raid at home in Wilmington thought to be linked to a major drug-trafficking ring, police said Friday.

Thursday’s raid in the 700 block of McDonald Avenue resulted in the seizure of 124 pounds of cocaine, three pounds of methamphetamine and $25,000 in cash, according to Long Beach police.

One person was detained, police said. No details about that person have been released.

The service of the search warrant in Wilmington resulted from earlier contact with suspected drug traffickers in Long Beach, police said.
