
A single-story restaurant in South Gate was damaged by a greater-alarm fire Sunday morning, a fire official said.
The fire was reported at 2:49 a.m. in the 4000 block of Firestone Boulevard, said Los Angeles County Fire department Dispatch Supervisor Kyle Sanford. A second-alarm was called requesting additional firefighters at 3:15 a.m. and the flames were out at 3:30 a.m.
The restaurant was 7,500 square feet, Sanford said. No injuries were reported. He was awaiting word on the extent of damage.
