Three burglary suspects who targeted two different residences in Studio City were in custody Tuesday following a manhunt that lasted more than four hours.

Officers were sent to the 13000 block of Bloomfield Street about 10:40 a.m. As they approached the home, police saw three suspects — all in their late 20s to early 30s — running north and scaling a fence, said LAPD Officer Mike Lopez.

A perimeter was set up and one suspect was located in an apartment in the 13000 block of Moorpark Street, which he entered through a balcony, Lopez said.

A woman inside the apartment hid herself in a closet and called 911. The suspect was in possession of property from both burglary locations when arrested, Lopez said.

A SWAT team, with the help of police dogs, eventually located the two other suspects –one of whom was trying to hide in bushes. The other was taken into custody only after gas was injected into a storage shed, Lopez said.

The suspects’ names were not immediately released.
