Two people were critically injured and four others suffered minor injuries in a 10-vehicle pileup Sunday on the Harbor (110) Freeway in Carson.
The crash was on the northbound 110 Freeway at 223rd Street, approaching the San Diego (405) Freeway. At least one vehicle overturned, according to the California Highway Patrol.
County firefighters and paramedics were dispatched at 3:40 a.m. and handled 14 patients at the scene — where two were in critical condition, four had minor injuries, and the remaining were treated at the scene and released, according to a county fire department dispatcher.
One of the critically injured — a woman — was transported to Harbor/UCLA Medical Center, according to the CHP.
All lanes of traffic were closed on the northbound freeway at 3:46 a.m., with the number four lane eventually opening at 8:54 a.m., according to the CHP.
