An armed man barricaded himself inside a Temple City house for nearly five hours before surrendering early Tuesday, authorities said.

The standoff situation began about midnight with a domestic disturbance call in the 5200 block of McClintock Avenue, and ended when the suspect gave himself up about 4:50 a.m., sheriff’s officials said.

David Luna, 42, was booked on suspicion of domestic violence, then released on $20,000 bail, said sheriff’s Sgt. Michael Martinez of the Temple Station.

Luna’s girlfriend was the alleged victim, Martinez said. He said two children were in the residence at the time and were not injured. It was not immediately known if they were the couple’s children, he said.
