A man ran to a Norwalk gas station for assistance after being shot multiple times in a riverbed early Tuesday.

The victim told police he had been confronted by two men by the bed of the San Gabriel River, and was then shot four times by one of them at about 1 a.m., Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Lt. Shawn Kehoe said.

The victim then ran to a Chevron gas station, in the 10600 block of Firestone Boulevard, Kehoe said.
