Los Angeles police Tuesday announced the arrest of a 28- year-old high school teacher accused of sexually abusing one of her male students and said there may be additional alleged victims who have yet to come forward.
Michelle Yeh, who began teaching in the science department of San Pedro High School in February, allegedly started having private meetings with the 15- year-old alleged victim at the end of the school year. This month, the student came forward to allege that Yeh sexually abused him on several occasions.
Yeh has held a number of temporary teaching assignments in the area and also provided online tutoring, allowing her contact with other minors, according to police.
Yeh was arrested Friday and released after posting $100,000 bail. No criminal case has been filed thus far.
Anyone with information was asked to call the Sex Crimes Investigation Unit of the LAPD’s Harbor Division at (310) 726-7915.
