Eight people were taken to a hospital Friday night after a vehicle carrying disabled passengers crashed and rolled over on the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway in Mission Hills.

The crash was reported at 6:41 p.m. near the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway, according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The conditions of the victims were not immediately available, but no one had to be freed from the wreckage, Stewart said.

The vehicle, which ended up on its side, was carrying six disabled adults and two care givers, all of whom were in good condition when taken to a hospital for further evaluation, Stewart said.

The crash closed the carpool and two left main lanes of the southbound portion of the freeway, prompting a SigAlert, according to the California Highway Patrol.
