A construction worker died of apparent natural causes Monday in Universal City, authorities said.
Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics and sheriff’s deputies were sent to the 3900 block of Lankershim Boulevard shortly after 6 a.m.
When deputies arrived, paramedics were already performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the 46-year-old man.
“Unfortunately, the man could not be revived and was pronounced dead at the location,” according to a sheriff’s statement. “The man, a construction worker, died of apparent natural causes. His death is not the result of an industrial accident.”
The man’s name was withheld pending notification of his relatives.
