A jogger was sexually assaulted Monday in a park in Claremont, police said.
The crime occurred about 7 a.m. at Blaisdell Park, 440 S. College Ave., said Claremont Police Sgt. David De Metz.
“A male approached her from behind,” he said. “The suspect pushed the victim to the ground and sexually assaulted her.”
The victim’s age was not disclosed.
The suspect was described as Hispanic, about 20-30 years old, 6 feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds, with brown hair and eyes and a light mustache. He was wearing tan pants and a red-and-white baseball-type shirt, and had a flannel shirt “wrapped around his head,” De Metz said.
