Firefighters Thursday extinguished a stubborn blaze in a commercial building in the South Los Angeles area, and no one was hurt.

The fire was reported about 3:10 a.m. in the 100 block of West 131st Street.

Firefighters went into a defensive mode, and extinguished the flames about 6 a.m., the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.
