A man and woman were injured when their vehicle went about 20 feet over the side of the Angeles Crest Highway near Newcomb’s Ranch.

The crash was reported about 12:45 p.m. Saturday, according to Deputy Tony Moore of the Los Angeles County Sheriff‘s Information Bureau.

The Montrose Search and Rescue Team responded and located the victims’ white Toyota sedan and rescued a 23-year-old man from inside the vehicle, Moore said.

He sustained minor injuries and walked back to the highway, Moore said.

A 22-year-old woman sustained moderate injuries and was hoisted from the crash site before both victims were airlifted to a hospital, the deputy said.
