A woman has threatened to jump from a cliff near Point Fermin Park in San Pedro and police have spent more than two hours attempting to talk her down from the perch, authorities said Monday.

Police were notified of the possible jumper at 6:41 p.m., said Lt. Jeff Bradford of the LAPD’s Harbor station.

Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched to the 4100 block of South Pacific Avenue at 7:05 p.m., said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

“We’re currently talking to her now, negotiating with her to get her off the cliff,” Bradford said.
