A shooting outside a Van Nuys bar left one man wounded, police said Monday.
The shooting at Valerio Street and Van Nuys Boulevard occurred around 10:30 p.m. Sunday, said Sgt. J. Hensley of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Van Nuys Station. An argument at the Cali Viejo Restaurant moved across the street, where one man was shot twice in the back.
“It was a bar fight that turned into a shooting,” Hensley said.
The victim was transported to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, where he is expected to survive, the sergeant said. The shooter fled the scene.
