A fight between two men in a Pasadena parking lot left one of them dead and the other in custody, police reported Monday.
Officers and paramedics went to the 500 block of South Fair Oaks Avenue about 9:35 p.m. Sunday on a 911 call reporting that a man was lying on the ground, Pasadena Police Lt. Diego Torres said.
The 64-year-old Pasadena resident, who was unconscious, was taken to a hospital, where he died a short time later, according to police. The coroner’s office withheld his name, pending notification of his relatives.
Manuel Castillo, a 39-year-old transient, was located in the 400 block of South Arroyo Parkway and booked on suspicion of murder, with bail set at $1 million, Torres said.
Anyone with information on the crime was urged to call police at (626) 744-4241.
