A Mexican restaurant in Sun Valley was heavily damaged by an arson fire following a string of break-ins over the past few months, according to broadcast reports.
Magazines were lit on fire and used to torch Rocio’s Mole de los Dioses in the 8200 block of Sunland Boulevard on Saturday night, ABC7 reported.

The blaze destroyed the kitchen and caused the roof to collapse, the station said.
Employee Ramona Rodriguez told the network that prior to the fire, the eatery had experienced four burglaries in the past two months.
“We just thought it was vandals, we never thought somebody would go as far as to break our dream,” she told ABC7.
The restaurant will be closed for six months for repairs, putting 20 people temporarily out of work.
A GoFundMe account is being set up to help offset the repair costs.
