A customer at a Carson gas station was shot and wounded.
The shooting occurred at a Valero station at the corner of East Sepulveda and Avalon boulevards around 10:15 p.m., Tuesday, a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department sergeant said.
The victim was 39 or 40 years old, the sergeant said. He was hospitalized, but his condition was not known, the sergeant said.
Deputies closed the gas station while the investigation was in progress.
