Police in Arcadia Thursday were on the lookout for a male suspected of committing battery against two women near a pair of school campuses.
The victims were bear hugged and subject to pelvic thrusts before they were released, Arcadia Police Lt. Roy Nakamura said.
Both were attacked Tuesday morning, the first about 8:55 a.m. near Dana Middle School at 1401 S. First Ave. and the second about 11 a.m. near Arcadia High School at 180 Campus Drive, Nakamura said.
The suspect — who appeared to be of Asian descent, 16-20 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall and chubby with a clean shaven face, and black hair — ran off after each incident, according to the lieutenant.
He was wearing a black hoodie and tan shorts, Nakamura said.
Neither woman was injured, he said.
Anyone with information about the suspect was urged to call Arcadia Police at (626) 574-5150. Anonymous tips can be provided by calling Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
