Two men were hospitalized with injuries suffered in a fight against opponents armed with a sword and a baseball bat in a riverbed in Bellflower, authorities said Friday.
The assault occurred in the 10500 block of Flora Vista Street in the San Gabriel River riverbed around 10:40 p.m. Wednesday, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Lt. Alicia Malone said.
A 52-year-old man who was found to have wielded the baseball bat was in custody, Malone said, but the swordsman was still at large.
The victims were in stable condition, Malone said.
