A male transient was found dead by a freeway on-ramp in Van Nuys.
The unidentified victim was found unconscious by the Sherman Way on-ramp to the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway at 5:27 p.m. Friday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene at approximately 5:40 p.m., according to the CHP.
There was no evidence of foul play and the cause of death was being investigated, the CHP reported.
