Police were investigating the discovery of body of a man who may have died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in a Hermosa Beach home Sunday morning.
A neighbor called police about 2:30 a.m. after seeing a body on the floor through the window of a residence in the 500 block of Hermosa Avenue, Officer Mick Gaglia of the Hermosa Beach Police Department said.
Officers broke into the home in an attempt to save the victim, but instead pronounced him dead at the scene from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, Gaglia said.
Officers do not suspect foul play.
Further investigation was ongoing and the victim’s name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
