A man riding a skateboard was struck and killed by a hit-and-run motorist in Bell, and police Sunday asked for the public’s help in finding the car and its driver.
The crash occurred a little after 11:22 p.m. Saturday in the area Gage and Bear avenues, said a dispatcher with the Bell Police Department. The skateboarder was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect’s vehicle was later described as a 2000s light-silver, small import vehicle that sustained moderate to major front-end damage, said Sgt. Tom Rodriguez.
