
Authorities Tuesday sought public help to find a man who impersonated a peace officer and assaulted a woman in Duarte.
The crime occurred about 11 p.m. Saturday in the 1400 block of Buena Vista Street, the L.A. Sheriff’s department reported.
Investigators released a composite drawing of the suspect, described as white, 40-50 years old, 6 feet tall and weighing 220 pounds. He was wearing a green “polo” style shirt.

According to the sheriff’s department, the man was driving a light- colored, late model, full-size four-door sedan with tinted windows and “flashing red and blue lights” when he pulled over a female motorist.
“The suspect threatened to arrest the victim, and, without provocation, physically assaulted her,” according to a sheriff’s statement. “The victim sustained a minor injury.”
