The bodies of two females were found in a park in Montecito Heights on Wednesday.
The bodies were reported at 2:21 p.m. in the area of Mercury and Boundary avenues, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The address given is at the edge of Ernest E. Debs Regional Park.
A woman walking her dog came upon the bodies, which were on the side of a hill, and called police, LAPD Officer Matthew Ludwig said.
They did not appear to have been there long, Ludwig said.
The females appeared to be young, but it was not immediately clear if they were minors or adults, he said.
Detectives were at the scene investigating, Ludwig said.
