The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office filed two counts of kidnapping to commit robbery against 26-year-old Chiffonce Dion Pace. He was arraigned Tuesday and remains jailed in lieu of a $1 million bail.
A woman was robbed in the predawn hours of Aug. 15 near 10th Street and Redondo Avenue, police said. Then on Aug. 24, another woman was robbed and was also ordered to disrobe in an alley at nearly the same location.
A witness to the second crime gave officers a suspect’s name, and noted similarities to the first robbery. Pace was arrested Saturday.
Police said they found evidence linking him to one of the robberies as they served a search warrant.
