A bomb threat prompted the evacuation of a DMV building in East Pasadena on Friday afternoon.
The threat was reported at 3:40 p.m. at the facility at 49 S. Rosemead Blvd. near the intersection of Colorado Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol, which was investigating because the threat was made to a state building.
A K-9 unit was summoned to the scene to assist in the investigation, CHP Officer Alex Rubio said.
No threat was found and the all-clear was given about 7:30 p.m., Rubio said.
Rosemead Boulevard and Backus Avenue were both closed between Del Mar and Colorado boulevards while the threat was investigated, Rubio said.
