Superior Court Judge Jon R. Takasugi also sentenced Pierre Jonas Hernandez to 180 days in jail to be served by electronic monitoring, 30 days of community labor and five years on probation, and ordered him to stay away from the two girls for 10 years, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

Hernandez, 33, pleaded no contest in the midst of his trial last week to one misdemeanor count each of child molesting and sexual battery.

A 16-year-old female student reported in April 2014 that Hernandez — then the head track coach at South Pasadena High School — gave her a massage behind a locked door, according to trial testimony. The massage included inappropriate touching of the girl by reaching under her shorts and touching her buttocks, according to prosecutors.

A second girl came forward during the investigation and said Hernandez had touched her in a similar manner.
