
A woman was undergoing surgery Thursday after she was wounded in Norwalk in a shooting that claimed a man’s life, authorities said.
The shooting occurred in the 15100 block of Grayland Avenue around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, the reported.
Homicide detectives said the victims were walking south on Grayland when a white vehicle rolled up alongside them and two males got out. One opened fire with a 9 mm handgun, said Sheriff’s Sgt. Joaquin Rincon. The assailants then drove off, headed north on Grayland.
The man was pronounced dead at a hospital, and the woman was in serious condition, said Deputy Trina Schrader.
