A fight between two men at a Willowbrook liquor store early Sunday ended in the shooting death of one of them.

The shots were fired about 1:40 a.m. in the 12300 block of Wilmington Avenue in unincorporated Willowbrook, said Deputy Ryan Rouzan of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies found the 38-year-old victim on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds, Rouzan said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim and suspect got into an argument at Dee’s Liquor at 124th Street and Wilmington Avenue, Rouzan said.

“They both ended up leaving the liquor store together,” he said. “As they were walking, the suspect shot the victim numerous times with a handgun. The suspect got into a gray vehicle and drove away.”

It was not known what the men were arguing about, Rouzan said.
