A man armed with a knife and holed up inside an apartment unit in Koreatown was taken into custody Thursday by police.
It was not immediately known what time the suspect was taken into custody. Police were dispatched to the location in the 200 block of South Normandie Avenue at 3 a.m., Officer Rosario Herrera of the LAPD’s Media Relations Section said.
Earlier, paramedics dispatched nearby at 12:46 a.m. to the 500 block of South Normandie Avenue on a reported stabbing call, took a person to an area hospital, said Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
That person’s condition was not immediately known, Scott said.
