The driver of an SUV was in custody Friday after fleeing the scene of a collision with a Metro bus in Studio City, authorities said.
The collision occurred in the 11400 block of Ventura Boulevard around 11:45 p.m. Thursday. Los Angeles City Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey said five of the 35 passengers aboard the bus suffered minor injuries, with one of those victims hospitalized.
The SUV’s driver ran away from the collision scene and was caught nearby, said officer in the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division. He said the motorist was in custody on suspicion of felony hit-and- run and DUI.
