
Authorities Tuesday were investigating the discovery of a human skull and bones in the Angeles National Forest north of Glendora.
The remains were discovered by hunters about 5:30 p.m. Monday in the area of Glendora Ridge Road near Mile Marker 10.5, according to the sheriff’s department.
“Two hunters in the area discovered a human skull over the side of a cliff at that location and reported the find to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department,” according to the sheriff’s department.
The hunters also found bones, the sheriff’s department reported.
Coroner’s investigators and sheriff’s homicide detectives were sent to the scene.
