A 70-year-old man shot his 30-year-old nephew during an argument in Lancaster on Tuesday, authorities said.
The victim suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to a leg in the shooting about 6 p.m. in the 600 block of East Kettering Avenue, according to Lt. Derrick Alfred, watch commander at the sheriff’s Lancaster Station.
The uncle was taken to a hospital as a precaution and will likely be booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon or attempted murder, Alfred said.
It was unclear why the two were in an argument, but it escalated to the point where a handgun was produced and the younger man was shot, Alfred said.
