A woman was killed in a fiery multi-vehicle crash on the Gardena (91) Freeway in Carson, authorities said Friday.
The collision, possibly involving a wrong-way vehicle, was reported on the westbound 91 near South Central Avenue, California Highway Patrol Officer Francisco Villalobos said.
At least two other vehicles were involved in the collision, with at least one other person hospitalized, he said.
A CHP accident makes a reference to a wrong-way vehicle having been in the carpool lane of the westbound freeway just before the collision.
The woman died at the scene, Villalobos said.
