
Three people were injured Sunday when their car smashed into a one-story commercial building under construction in Rancho Palos Verdes, starting a fire.
Four people were in the car and all were able to escape before it burst into flames.
The condition of the injured was not immediately known, according to a county fire dispatcher.
Los Angeles County firefighters and paramedics dispatched at 3:21 a.m. to 4 Peninsula Center, near the intersection of Hawthorne Boulevard and Silver Spur Road, came upon a well-involved structure, he said.
A watch commander at the sheriff’s Lomita station could not be reached for immediate comment.
