A 59-year-old man faces prison time Monday for robbing a Chase bank branch in Burbank last winter.
Gregory Cross pleaded guilty in April to the Dec. 13 theft of $3,330 from the branch at 840 San Fernando Blvd., according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Cross was charged in Los Angeles federal court with also robbing $2,327 from the Chase branch at 3901 Atlantic Ave. in Long Beach on Dec. 18, and $2,150 on Dec. 22 from the Chase branch in Burbank he admitted hitting a week earlier. Those counts will be dismissed at sentencing.
Cross was arrested in January by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies and turned over to the FBI, which had issued an arrest warrant.
In a letter to the judge, Cross described himself as a lifelong drug addict who robbed banks to feed his habit.
He previously served six years in federal prison for bank robbery, authorities said.
