A man was wounded in South Los Angeles by a suspect who fled the scene in what police said was a dark-colored truck that looked “dirty in appearance.”
Police were dispatched at 6:34 p.m. Friday to the 900 block of West 68th Street, between Hoover Street and Vermont Avenue, on a “reported shooting” call, said Officer Matthew Ludwig of the LAPD’s Media Relations Section.
Paramedics dispatched to the scene rushed one person to an area hospital, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The man was critically wounded, according to a source at the scene.
