Sheriff’s deputies were looking Monday for two juvenile boys suspected of breaking into a Lancaster elementary school and surprising a teacher who was preparing for class work, a sheriff’s lieutenant said.
The woman was at Desert View School at 1555 West Avenue H-10 around 3:15 p.m. Sunday preparing for today’s lesson, said Lt. Derrick Alfred of the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station.
“She entered a supply room and found two suspects inside,” Alfred said. “They immediately asked her not to report them and fled.”
Deputies found evidence at the scene, he said.
The teacher appeared shaken, a news videographer reported from the scene.
